Love beehive designI bought this because it was "made in USA"..... made in china on the bottom of shaker.I had to replace the big salt and pepper shakers I used in the kitchen. The lids on my old faithful set were so rusted that flecks would drop down into the salt whenever I would try to remove the lid. I looked at what seemed to be a zillion different sets on Amazon, and selected these because of the size and the lids, keeping my fingers crossed. I am really pleased with my selection. (Whew) The shape is much more secure in my hand than my old set. And they look much better! It's too soon to tell if the lids will really hold up to the steaminess of the kitchen. But if these would start to show any rust or corrosion, I'd order the same again without hesitation.I had one of these that lasted years and years, but finally the glass was deteriorating from the salt/opening and refilling and it started "leaking" when you would set it back down after using. Ordered a new one from Amazon and it's great but really it was about twice the price that I paid for my other one--just didn't feel like driving to the restaurant supply store for one item.I would have given this 5 stars because I think this little thing is adorable, but I took one star off because the holes are quite large for salt. I had to tape over some of them so that too much salt wouldn't come out.I liked these shakers and there is nothing I dislike about them! Perfect size and shape and I may order more for gifts.the title should say Salt ((or)) Pepper shaker. you ONLY get ONE (1) NOT a Pair. if you want a matching pair buy two (2)These are very nice shakers. Easy to take the top on and off, easy to fill, pours nicely, and elegant design. Note that you only get one shaker so if you want a pair, order two.
